Found! I can't say exactly when, since it sat in my jacket pocket for a while, but I'm certain it was earlier than late May when you were due to lose it. I would guess it was late April/early May. I found it on railings by a bush on Salter Road, London SE16, close to Surrey Water and the little lock before the River. Sadly, though I tried hard to remove it intact, the ribbon was tied too tight. I had to rip it off, leaving the ribbon behind. The fish part tore in the process, but opened up, it now makes a butterfly!
I use found papers as bookmarks for one book each, so this will accompany my next book, probably Light in August, or maybe Of Love and Other Demons. It will live in the book thereafter.
The lock is now home to two young bibbed ducks, whose mother flew off, after an unusually long nurturing, a week or two ago. They will follow soon. Surrey Water, the large pond to the other side of the road, has experienced tragedy: fighting among the swans has left one dead (hit a bridge trying to escape) and the father of the family in hospital. Two of his other children are trying to take over the territory.
Thank you for creating and losing the art, it made a lovely surprise on my walk that day in spring.
Beanie Mouse lives in the south of England and has been painting and creating artworks for many years. Some will be "lost" somewhere on the planet, some will be mailed out and on the Emporium blog, reviews are given on various stuff! Beanie also travels and blogs about that on the Beanie Mouse blog.
If you have discovered this blog by finding a piece of artwork with a label on the back, that label should also have the name of the artwork, i.e. "postcard 25" or "weathergram 62" or "Tag 86".
The quickest way to find your item is using the "search" line at the top left of the screen with the orange "B" in front and the magnifying glass at the end- type in the item & number on the label and then click on the icon at the end..... it'll take you straight there! Post a comment to say you found it!
If you can't find it that way, leave a comment on the most recent post, and I'll cut and paste it to the correct place for you!
Next time I'm in, I'll find your comment and reclassify the lost item as found.
